Czinger 21C Breaks Another Track Record

The Czinger 21C hypercar has set another racetrack record, dethroning the 992-generation Porsche 911 GT3 RS with a time of 1 minute and 46.55 seconds on its first lap at the track. The new time beats the previous best of 1 minute, 47.18 seconds, which had stood for some time. This marks the latest in a series of records for the vehicle, which has now established a production car lap record on every track it has been driven on, including a recent event at Chuckwalla.

A Battle of the American Supercars

The Czinger 21C is a tandem-seat, all-electric hypercar that produces 1,250 horsepower. It was tested against the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1X on the same short circuit. On the front straight, the Czinger hits a top speed of 142.4 mph. This speed is more than 4 mph faster than the Corvette ZR1X, a figure that feels ferociously quick on such a short track.

The two cars traded the lead throughout the lap. The Corvette briefly poked ahead of the Czinger through the kink at Turn 1. The back-and-forth joust continued all the way through Turn 6. However, the Chevrolet fell behind at Turn 7 due to its own understeer. The Czinger’s massive aerodynamic advantage, which produces nearly four times as much downforce as the ZR1X, gave it the edge.

Stopping power is another area where the Czinger excels. Its braking is described as “bonkers,” producing a deceleration of 1.72 g’s. This level of stopping ability is why the electric torque on the front wheels helps the car quickly get back up to speed again. The 21C also maintains a higher minimum track speed than the Corvette, likely due to that aerodynamic advantage.

When it comes to cornering, the Czinger 21C is capable of 1.77 g’s of lateral acceleration. This is a ridiculous number that bests the Corvette’s best of 1.5 g’s. It is clear that the Czinger goes faster, stops harder, carries more speed through corners, and accelerates quicker than its American rival.

The Performance Standard

While the raw numbers are impressive, the lap time itself is the true indicator of performance. The Czinger 21C has now set the production car lap record on every single racetrack it has been driven on. This includes a recent event at Chuckwalla, where the car was featured during a “State of American Performance” party. The car’s consistent ability to outperform others on various circuits highlights its advanced engineering and design.
