Storyteller Overland’s GXV Wild is a smaller, yet capable off-road camper that packs serious ability and upscale comfort. Introduced in 2023, the GXV line is designed for those looking for a larger and more robust option than a typical camper van.
The GXV Wild is built on the Ram 3500 single-cab heavy-duty pickup and powered by the 6.4-liter Hemi V-8. It features a three-inch lift suspension system from AEV, which improves the Ram 3500 HD’s crawling capability and creates room for 37-inch MPT tires.

The truck is based on the Big Horn Level 2 trim, with a well-appointed cabin that includes heated seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a 12-inch Uconnect touchscreen with navigation. The GXV Wild can tow up to 11,000 pounds and carry up to 1,000 pounds of payload.
Upscale Living Quarters
The camper box can sleep up to four adults, thanks to a queen-size loft mattress and a rear dinette that converts into another spacious sleeping area. A Truma rooftop air conditioner and 14,000-BTU hydronic heating system help keep everyone comfortable.
A full kitchen is included, with a stainless steel Vitrifrigo 4.1-cubic-foot refrigerator-freezer combo, a portable induction cooktop, and a microwave that also functions as a convection oven and air fryer. The wet bath features a cassette toilet with fresh-water flushing, a dimmable light, exhaust fan, and dual-pane window.
The GXV Wild’s clever rear wall design forms part of the FlipOut Deck, which turns the back of the camper into an open-air deck. This is a great place to enjoy the outdoors or take in the scenery over dinner.
